I think, if genuine, you have a pattern 2, the pattern three didn’t have the brass handle because of the shortage and need for the brass in other manufacturing during the war.

Nice work! Great stoves! They'll last several lifetimes if even moderately maintained. I don't recommend using the flame control to turn it on or off. It should be in the HIGH/MAX position when lighting and shutting down to avoid flooding the generator and helping to purge the liquid out of the generator before it cools, making the next light up cleaner.

Je suis propriétaire d'un couteau Grenier '91 acheté dans une foire directement du fabriquant. Il est dans son fourreau original, très semblable à celui que vous montrez dans le vidéo, avec les deux caractéristiques suivantes: le manche est en bois exotique, bien riveté et très solide, comfortable comme vous avez mentionné, mais l'objet venait aussi avec un lacet enfilé dans l'oeillet et terminé par une rondelle de cuir qui, insérée dans la ceinture, empêchait toute velléité du couteau de tomber s'il venait à se séparer de sa gaine. Monsieur Grenier avait aussi gravé mon nom sur la lame.

That's a very good gift! To be treasured. Have a "Chinesium" Laguiole Hunter, fine but the scales are a strange lacquered wood and if you use it for it's intended purpose any blood or anything on the handle and it's difficult to keep hold of. Have a a Spanish made one with nice rosewood scales and this is much easier to use. Never encountered a French made one but I will as I much prefer them to the American folding Hunter's, you have a bit of class on your belt!!!!

Plusieurs lampes de poches plus haut de gamme et dispendieuses (Fenix, Pelican, Nitecore...) utilisent des 18650. Il y a meme des modeles de batterie qui se rechargent avec un port USB directement sur la batterie, comme les cellulaires, ce qui permet d'avoir un une batterie d'appoint qui recharge le cellulaire et la lampe de poche en un. Pas besoin de chargeur/socle dedier!
